About Beauty Field HQ
Beauty Field HQ started because finding good information about careers in beauty field sales is surprisingly hard. Most advice online is generic or outdated. A lot of it is written by people who've never actually worked a Saturday on the Ulta floor or managed a team of freelance brand ambassadors across multiple states.
The content here is written for the people actually doing the work: the freelancers picking up shifts at Ulta, the regional managers juggling 30 consultants across 15 stores, the brand ambassadors trying to figure out if this career path actually goes somewhere.
We cover the stuff that matters: real salary data (not optimistic ranges from Indeed), honest takes on what different roles actually involve, and practical advice for moving up. No corporate HR fluff. No motivational nonsense. Just useful information from people who've been on the floor.
What We Cover
Our focus is beauty field sales in all its forms. Retail beauty advisors at Ulta and Sephora. Brand ambassadors representing their products on the sales floor. Counter positions at department stores like Macy's and Nordstrom. Regional managers overseeing freelance teams. If you're selling beauty products face-to-face or managing people who do, we're writing for you.
We don't cover wedding makeup, film/TV work, or esthetician careers. Those are different industries with different paths. Plenty of good resources exist for those. Not many exist for retail beauty field work. That's where we come in.
